Jon Crowley has resided in Atlantic Highlands with his Wife and son for eighteen years and, while on council, has authored fourteen ordinances including permitting public art, protecting trees, obtained free installation of $80,000 worth of fiber optic cable for a municipal television channel, established an emergency radio station and a ban on single-use plastics years ahead of the statewide regulation.

Seven years ago, Crowley created and continues to produce the yearly, free Movies in the Marina, Atlantic Highlands Day and the popular, Atlantic Highlands Music and Food Truck Festival events. He also created the yearly NJFilmExpo at the Meadowlands Arena.

Following a thirty-year career as a writer, director and Showrunner in Television where he helped create and executive produce series such as, “The Impractical Jokers,” “Breaking The Ice,” “Upload With Shaquille O’Neal” and “Love After Lockup” as well as serving as vice president of original programming at NBC-Comcast, Scripps and Time-Warner, the double Emmy-winner transitioned to Vice President of the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission in 2024. In his first two years, Crowley’s innovative business strategies elevated New Jersey from the seventh busiest domestic production hub to nearly third in the nation. Studio expenditures in New Jersey are rapidly expanding: rising from $592 million to over $834 million—a 41% jump from 2023 to 2024, with a comparable increase anticipated for 2025 (including Atlantic Highlands). Considerable increases are also occurring in crew hires, growing from 17,000 in 2023 to 30,000 in 2024. In April 2026, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER highlighted Jersey’s remarkable growth with the headline, “Production Down Across the Country-- EXCEPT New Jersey.”

If re-elected, Crowley will continue to offer fresh solutions to local challenges, promote financial growth, and create engaging opportunities for residents.
